A scarce copy of 'America, A History' by Robert Mackenzie, published by T. Nelson and Sons, London, 1882.

Fully bound in tan calf leather prize binding with gilt stamped decoration to the boards. The spine boasts five raised bands, red leather title panel and ornate gilt stamped decoration. There is shelf wear present to the extremities and back board. 

Marbled page edges and endpapers. Prize book plate to the front pastedown dated 1888. There is some light spotting to the preliminary pages but generally the interior remains clean and bright.
