A splendid walnut oil vessel from the late-eighteenth to early-nineteenth century. Traditional pottery like this has been handmade since the middle ages. Its rustic and distinctive olive-green glaze identifies its origin as Central France. It has a wonderful and textural festoon under the spout.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
